With the introduction of MBS- Ti1, a robust titanium carbide coating especially developed for grades of MBS 950 and below, GE expands its coatings series into the medium and economy saw diamond grades. The proprietary coating design of Ti1 enables toolmakers to adjust their bonding systems to the new MBS Ti1 diamonds. Although primarily developed for medium- to low-impact applications, the mechanical toughness of this new coating allows use even in more demanding stone and construction applications, according to the company.
