"The great majority of our business comes from word of mouth from contractors, architects, interior designers, etc.," said Perino. "As the state grows, so do we. Our business mix is approximately 80% residential and 20% commercial. We do a large amount of custom work, including countertops, floors, baths, fireplaces and walls. The interior designers keep us busy with a lot of creative touches like Jacuzzi tubs and surroundings."
Perino has four full-time employees now and about double that number at peak periods. He finds that the biggest challenge the company has is scheduling and planning, because it covers an enormous amount of territory throughout two states.
"We can't afford any kind of a scheduling mishaps with the distances we cover and the same goes for our factory production. "We just could not afford to have any breakdowns with our equipment; it would put us out of business," said Perino. "After diligent research of the industry we decided to purchase a new Matrix Sebring Gantry Saw."
The company chose the Sebring Gantry saw because of Matrix's solid reputation. "From installation day to the present, the Matrix folks have been professional, courteous and efficient," said Perino. "It really is a good feeling to know they are only a phone call away."
