MSJC appoints chair
BOULDER, CO - The Masonry Standards Joint Committee (MSJC) is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Richard Klingner of the University of Texas in Austin as the committee's next chair. Dr. Klingner is currently the vice president of the Masonry Society (TMS) where he also heads up the technical activities committee and the investigating disaster team. He has conducted research on the dynamic response of masonry and concrete structures. Klingner was recently awarded the John B. Scalzi research award and TMS's President's Award. Klingner currently teaches courses in structural engineering at the University of Texas in Austin. He will officially take office in March 2002.
