Abrasive Technology of Lewis Center, OH, a manufacturer of superabrasive grinding wheels and tools, announced that it was recognized as one of the top three companies in the state of Ohio in the Manufacturing Division (companies with 500 associates or less) for its world-class innovation in e-commerce. The honor was presented by ECom-Ohio, an initiative of The Technology Policy Group at the Ohio Supercomputer Center. The ECom-Ohio initiative is sponsored by 16 private-sector companies in Ohio and is in its third year of measuring Ohio businesses' and citizens' ability to deploy the new tools of electronic commerce. Abrasive Technology's e-commerce application allows customers to order on line, while offering a myriad of additional customer account functions including: viewing order history, viewing recent quotes, tracking orders, reordering directly from previous orders, viewing customer-specific pricing and viewing open invoices and credits to their accounts. The company's e-commerce site - located at www.abrasive-tech.com - went live in Spring 2000.
