Bonsal[r] now offers highly modified thin-set mortars that are much creamier, while providing excellent grab on walls and other surfaces. According to Kevin McFadden, Bonsal's Tile Products Marketing Director, Superior PermaFlex (Series 600) and PermaFlex (Series 500) were well received by tile contractors and installers during field tests of these new formulations. “Our objective with this product was to develop the creamiest thin-set mortars on the market. In the process, the strength, grab and hold have been improved to accommodate the larger format tile being sold,” said McFadden. “Contractors say the new formulations are similar to a mastic adhesive when mixed, and they are reacting very positively to the creamier products since they make their jobs much easier. With larger-dimension tiles being utilized today, the Bonsal thin-set mortars that exhibit high strength, while being easy to mix and apply, are being demanded by contractors since they recognize all the added benefits.”
