Stone was used to clad the escalators
Burlington's natural stone has been specified as a material for Glasgow's Buchanan Galleries, a shopping center development. Approximately 2,000 square meters of Burlington's Broughton Moor Stone will be featured as flooring, seating, and cladding, along with vanities in the public wash-rooms and in a number of the shops. The Buchanan Galleries chose a traditional stone design for the modern setting. Burlington's olive green stone has been used to clad some of the central escalators within the development by using honeycomb panels. The stone was fixed to the honeycomb panels like a veneer.
