MADRID, SPAIN -- The fourth edition of Piedra, the International Natural Stone Fair, will take place May 8 to 11, 2002. According to fair personnel, this will be the largest edition of the event staged to date. It is expected that participation in Piedra will increase approximately 20%, with the attendance of more than 460 direct exhibitors. A larger exhibition area will also be unveiled, featuring a total of 23,500 square meters in Pavilions 6, 8 and 10. The new Pavilion 10 is the result of expansion works at Feria de Madrid, which will be fully operable in time for the next edition of Piedra. Visitors to Piedra 2002 will also be able to take advantage of new services and infrastructures at the Juan Carlos I Exhibition Centre, such as the North Gate complex with modern access points, visitor registration areas, ample parking and various catering and restaurant areas. These new facilities will provide a more convenient environment for exhibitors and visitors in accordance with the dynamics progress of the fair.
