WASHINGTON, DC -- Laticrete International, Inc. recently donated its installation systems to the International Masonry Institute for the "Masters of the Building Arts" program in the Smithsonian Folklife Festival 2001. This annual festival honors the preservation of American and human cultural heritage through educational programs. One component of this year's festival was a visitor tent focusing on the "trowel trades" highlighting the work of bricklayers and masons. Various building materials, including marble and terrazzo, were installed onto display panels with Latapoxy 310 stone adhesive and Latapoxy SP-100 stainless epoxy.
"Laticrete's contribution shows a dedication to the industry that is both commendable and appreciated," said Edward M. Bellucci, deputy director of the National Training Center at the International Masonry Institute. "We look forward to continuing our mutual cooperation in the future."
