SEAL BEACH, CA -- Custom[r] Building Products, a manufacturer of industry-leading tile and stone in-stallation products, recently announced the promotion of Don Kuhns to Vice President of Finance. Previously serving as the company's director of finance, Kuhns has been with Custom for over five years and assumes responsibility for the privately held company's entire financial operations.

“We look forward to the future in Don's capable hands as he takes on the expanded responsibilities of his new role,” said Tom Peck, president of Custom Building Products. “He has proven his leadership ability by successfully managing many of our important financial relationships over the past several years, and we congratulate him on this promotion.”

In the 10 years prior to joining Custom, Kuhns held several senior financial positions in the aerospace fasteners industry, and before that he was corporate controller for the Henry Group of Companies in Huntington Park, CA.

“In the past 20 years, Custom has grown from a small regional firm to the industry leader,” said Kuhns. “I am honored to lead the finance team as we look ahead to new growth and new challenges, and I look forward to working with our customers, our vendors and our employees as we address the opportunities that lie ahead.”

Kuhns holds bachelor's degrees in math and economics and a masters degree in finance, all of which he earned at Indiana University. He lives in Manhattan Beach, CA, with his wife, and has a daughter in college.
