MSI opens new location in Atlanta
AUSTELL, GA -- M S International, Inc. (MSI), a leading distributor of natural stone, opened a new state-of-the-art showroom in Austell, GA. This completes the launch of its new distribution facility dedicated to the Southeast region.
The 175,000-square-foot building, which MSI reports is one of the largest stone centers under a single roof in all of North America, reflects the company's commitment to the Southeast region.
The facility carries the full range of MSI products, from slabs, tiles and landscaping products, including granite, marble, slate, travertine, limestone and onyx, to glass and stone mosaics, porcelain tiles and quartz surface slabs. The showroom displays the entire MSI product line and includes detailed information on each product, merchandising vehicles and numerous installations. The distribution center has a total stocking capacity of 15,000 slabs and 6 million square feet of tiles. The facility houses six cranes, an RFID for up-to-date location and inventory, 10 forklifts, eight loading/unloading docks, six truck wells and two ramps. There are also five trucks and two boom trucks for delivery. In addition to the infrastructure, there are over 50 employees available to service MSI's growing customer base.
"MSI Atlanta is perfectly placed to cater to the needs of the Southeast market," said Manu Shah, the CEO of MSI. "We can service our customers in eight states from this facility. We are very excited about the way we have grown in this region from a 22,000-square-foot facility to a 175,000-square-foot facility in only six years. We can go deeper and broader on our product lines with this hub facility."
