HOUSTON, TX - Silestone by Cosentino has become an active partner in the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition “Get on the Bus” campaign for Season 7 of the award-winning reality TV show that airs on ABC. Cosentino will be involved in every episode of Season 7, which started on Sunday, September 27, 2009, from 8 to 10 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
The “Get on the Bus” theme represents a heightened focus on voluntarism during Season 7. The show has won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Reality Program, plus two People’s Choice Awards, the Family Television Award for Best Alternative/Reality Program, and a Service to American Leadership Award presented by The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation.
“We are thrilled to join the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition crew, celebrities, custom home builders and thousands of other volunteers for the Season 7 ‘Get on the Bus’ campaign,” said Lorenzo Marquez, Vice President of Marketing for Silestone. “We have jumped on the bus literally and figuratively to support these life-changing dream home construction projects. Every one of these projects touches the Cosentino team and our local countertop fabricators in a memorable way.”
Cosentino is actively participating in building and furnishing homes for as many as 25 deserving families this season. For several of the Season 7 episodes, members of the Cosentino management, marketing and customer service teams will “get on the bus” and become personally involved in creating a new home for these special families. All new homes are built and furnished within one week through volunteer labor, sponsorships and donations. Cosentino has agreed to donate Silestone quartz countertops, fabrication and installation for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and other rooms.
