In total, Santangelo Marmi staffs 20 employees. The company primarily targets the North African market, with its business split down the middle between slabs and tiles. Its tile plant is located across the street from the slab processing facility.
Upon arrival at the slab plant, blocks are first trimmed on a Pellegrini wire saw. They are then cut into slabs in one of two Alpe gangsaws or a recently purchased BM 80-blade gangsaw.
Additional equipment in the shop includes a Cemar LMS 2100 polishing line and a Ceragioli Carlo & C. resin line. Because Perlatino Sicilia is technically a soft limestone, all slabs receive a resin coating during the production process. Santangelo Marmi’s production capacity reaches approximately 200,000 square meters annually.
