Cevisama 2013 presents an arena for innovation
This year’s ceramic tile exhibition was filled with displays of the newest tile products.
Inspired by Brazilian design, the Moving Collection by Aparici creates stunning floor and wall patterns in black and white. The porcelain tiles have a vintage aesthetic that can create unique designs in both residential and commercial settings.
Natucer introduced its new wood-look collection, Rioja. The new line is available in six colors — providing the authentic appearance of natural wood to meet all styles of design.
Pamesa’s Davos Collection is offered in a total of six colors and three finishes: matte, diagonal and semi-polished. All three finishes passes the Tile Council of North America’s co-efficient of friction test, reports the manufacturer.
Provence by Peronda offers the look of vintage tile. Available in colors of lilac, pink, blue and white, countless decorative combinations can be made for both floor and wall applications.
Illustrating its commitment to designers, Tau presented its bathroom collection created by Kukuxumusu. It is described as a comprehensive design for bathrooms in which the tiles, furnishings and mirrors are in perfect harmony.
Vives launched its new Lovestone Collection — inspired by a selection of natural stone. Lovestone is comprised of six types of stone divided into porcelain and white biscuit. Bluestone (pictured), Greystone and Goldstone are porcelain tiles available in a range of sizes and two finishes: Leather (smooth) and Natural (structured with relief). Ambarstone, Lunarstone and Sunstone are white biscuit wall tiles with a vast array of textures.
Tiles in the Titanium Collection by Azteca have a metallic sheen that can add a contemporary flair to any design. The tiles are offered in cream color, brown and black.
The Daino Collection by Grespania pulls its inspiration from natural stone. The porcelain tiles, which are polished and rectified, measure 12 x 24 inches and are available in two colors: beige and gray.
Keraben introduced its new Reserva Collection, which offers the look of distressed hardwood. The new wood-look line features 40 variations.
Levantina showcased its Techlam® slim ceramic tile. Among its newer lines is the Cosmos Collection. Stylish and innovative, this collection contains metal inlays that not only bring brightness, but also glamour and elegance, to interior designs. Cosmos is suitable for wall covering and is available in three different colors: Cosmos Neu, Cosmos Black (pictured) and Cosmos Black Cappuccino.
Magma offers a contemporary look in its Urban Cement Collection. Made of red body porcelain, a total of five different presses are used in the production process to achieve different shapes and depth in each tile.
The Milano Collection by Mainzu exudes an Old World feel with its warm saturated colors. The aged look of the tiles further contributes to an Old World-style design. www.mainzu.com
Marazzi’s Brooklyn Collection, which replicates the look of concrete, is produced with inkjet technology. Ideal for both floor and wall applications, the porcelain tiles are offered in 12- x 24-inch and 24- x 24-inch format, and shades of White, Gray, Multigray, Anthracite, Sand and Mocha.
Ceramica Mayor offers an innovative ceramic grate for pools, which is the first of its kind, according to the manufacturer. Available in all of the company’s flooring lines so that it can match the other tile, the ceramic grate offers longevity because it is rust resistant.
