For the second year in a row, Caesarstone will join with Architectural Digest for its third annual AD Oasis at the James Royal Palm Hotel in South Beach. During the week's festivities, Caesarstone will host an exclusive cocktail party at the AD Oasis that will be attended by industry executives and socialites alike, including Mick de Giulio and Ty Pennington.
The AD Oasis, created by renowned AD100 designer Mark Cunningham, will serve as a luxurious retreat during Art Basel. Cunningham will transform an area of the hotel to reflect the beachy, bright and glamorous Miami vibe. As an official sponsor, Caesarstone has worked with Cunningham to provide the surfaces that will be used throughout the space, including the featured bars which promise to be stunning.
"Architectural Digest is thrilled to once again create a haven for art lovers to relax in a chic, luxurious environment while they're visiting Art Basel and Design Miami," said Giulio Capua, Vice-President and Publisher of Architectural Digest. "The AD Oasis will feature great food, drink and decor, as well as art-inspired programming. Mark Cunningham and his team have outdone themselves yet again." Caesarstone will donate a portion of the proceeds from their limited edition candleholders to a local charity.
In addition to AD Oasis, famed architect Juergen Mayer H. will unveil his new artwork made from Caesarstone. His sculptural bench will be on display at the Galerie Eigen + Art booth. His latest piece of art, Pipapo, is made of Caesarstone quartz with a natural stone pattern delicately milled to create a three dimensional, lattice-like, irregular formation.
"Caesarstone embraces design and the design community. We consistently strive to push the envelope and show people that Caesarstone works in so many creative ways outside of the kitchen," said Sagi Cohen, CEO of Caesarstone U.S. "From art to fashion, Caesarstone is about innovation and Art Basel enthusiasts will experience an impressive array of unique Caesarstone applications."
Caesarstone will be hosting a national tour in 2014 and it is anticipated that Juergen Mayer’s Pipapo will be the latest addition to this collection. Existing pieces include works by designers Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Jamie Adler of Phyllis Morris, Robert Kuo and VIA/CAT. These pieces of art will travel to various events around the country making stops in major cities such as New York, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles and more.
Recently selected to partner with Wallpaper Magazine, Caesarstone will also provide all surfaces for what promises to be an innovative and exciting booth.
