NEW YORK, NY -- Dekton by Cosentino, the ultra-compact surface with advanced technical properties for both interior and exterior application, recently introduced eight new colors, bringing its total offering to 23 sophisticated colors that meet a wide array of architectural and design aesthetics.
The new introductions embody Cosentino's innovation and interpretation of the latest trends in the marketplace -- from stylish wood-grains to industrial concrete, accented marbles and contemporary grays. Dekton, a revolutionary material composed of glass, porcelain and quartz offers a variety of new application possibilities for both indoor and outdoor environments. Each of the new colors offers a unique design statement combined with Dekton's superior performance, which includes UV-resistance for color stability outdoors, exceptional strength and high resistance to stains, abrasion, scratching and very low water absorption.
Wood-Look
The unique texture and aesthetic of Borea and Makai add on-trend wood looks to Dekton's offering. Borea exudes a deep, dark exotic wood appearance with hints of gray and redwood in its grain, while the cream-colored Makaievokes weathered driftwood withochre and amber graining. The two colors combine the strength of Dekton while retaining the beauty and warmth of natural wood.
Concrete-Look
Evoking the color and texture of concrete, Keonoffers an industrial aesthetic featuring a pale gray shade speckled with cream and dark flecks for visual variation.
Natural Stone-Inspired Colors
Recognizing the resurgence in popularity of natural stone aesthetics, Dekton expands its natural stone-inspired hues with the addition of Kelya and Entzo. Kelya pays homage to Cosentino's Spanish roots, capturing the beauty of black Calatorao marble from Spain with delicate light-colored veining. Entzo features bold veining, similar to exotic marble, with a combination of warm golds and cool grays.
Solid Hues
The solid hues of Ventus, Korus and Galemacreate subtle design statements in a neutral palette. Their smooth textures and continuous shades of warm and cool grays offer the sleek, monochromatic look often sought for modern architectural and design projects.
The new Dekton colors became available nationwide beginning July 2015. Dekton is available in large format slabs, measuring 56 x 126 inches, and in three thicknesses: 0.8, 1.2 and 2 cm. Dekton retails for $58 to $96 per square foot, depending on thickness and color, at leading national retailers. For more information, visit www.dekton.com.
