NEW YORK, NY -- Cosentino Group, a global leader in the production and distribution of natural stone, quartz, recycled and architectural surfaces has announced its 2017 Cosentino design challenge. Now in its 11th year, the initiative challenges architecture and design students from institutions and universities across the U.S., Europe, Asia and South Pacific to research and conceptualize space and layout design, using Cosentino materials as their medium.
“The Cosentino design challenge is rooted in principles that make up the very fabric of our company,” said Lorenzo Marquez, VP of marketing for Cosentino North America. “Beyond the design theme for the challenge, this contest allows us to help educate future professionals on the crucial role innovative materials must play in every project and how to have respect for the environment. Each year we’re so inspired by the presentations, concepts and dialogues that surface. We look forward to receiving the entries.”
As a result of increased participation year over year, the Cosentino design challenge has quickly gained recognition across the globe as a well-respected design program, rooted in innovation and research, for future architecture and design professionals.
