The collaboration agreement between Marmomac and Italian institutions has been renewed for the third year to be held in Verona, Italy, September 27-30, including a Special Made in Italy Promotion Plan enacted by the Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with ICE-Italian Trade Agency and Confindustria Marmomacchine. After record-making success in 2016, with 1,670 exhibitors, including 1,070 international companies from 52 countries, and 67,000 professional visitors, efforts continue to encourage the internationalization of the Italian natural stone sector.
Thanks to funds made available by the Ministry, the promotion program will develop along three main guidelines: The Italian Stone Theatre, incoming activities targeting qualified trade operators and professionals on an international scale, and the third edition of the International Stone Summit.
The Italian Stone Theatre (Hall 1) is curated by architect Vincenzo Pavan and designer Raffaello Galiotto; it will host three important shows stimulating dialogue between natural stone, technology, and machinery. This hall is also home to the Forum Area which will welcome conferences, lectures, and workshops. Hall 1 will also be the venue for Ristorante d’Autore, a space dedicated to fine Italian food interpreted against a scenic background inspired as always by marble and stone with the ADI Veneto-Trentino Alto Adige Delegation. The International Stone Summit will bring the main international trade associations to Verona to discuss the industry and exchange points of view during a global conference dedicated to natural stone.
