Stony Creek, Conn. -- The Stony Creek Quarry, in collaboration with North Carolina Granite, will supply Stony Creek granite for the new Statue of Liberty Museum designed by FXFowle Architects. Other key collaborators in the design and construction include: ESI Design, Quennell Rothschild and Partners, Atelier Ten, DeSimone Consulting Engineers, Phelps Construction Group and Back Brook Masonry. Stony Creek granite is the granite of the Statue of Liberty pedestal designed by Richard Morris Hunt and dedicated in 1886. North Carolina Granite has over 125 years of experience, including the recently completed FDR Four Freedoms Park designed by Louis Kahn.

The Statue of Liberty Museum project is a partnership between the National Parks Service and the Statue of Liberty Ellis Island Foundation. The Foundation will cover the costs of the museum, with Diane Von Furstenberg in charge of fundraising.
