Alcora, Spain -- Inalco has put a second plant into operation to produce extra-large porcelain slabs at the company’s Alcora, Spain location. The new production plants, which are equipped with nced H2O IPLUS Full Digital technology, ensure greater manufacturing flexibility in terms of different thicknesses and formats. Innovations have also been introduced to production processes, using advanced raw materials, such as water-based decorative glazing techniques. These glazes represent a major new breakthrough for the tile industry in sustainability and environmental care, according to the company.

Inalco’s iTOPKer porcelain countertops measure 12mm-thick in a large-format 1500x3200mm. The company attributes the slabs’ success in the market to their important role in kitchen design projects thanks to technical performance and eye-catching designs and textures in keeping with the latest trends in interior design. Inalco also produces the 6mm-thick Slimmker porcelain tile range for use on walls and floors, available in a 150x300cm, 150x150cm or 100x250cm format.
