CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Diamut America has announced the arrival of a new manufacturing engineer to lead both the redressing and manufacturing operations the company is adding in Charlotte as soon as early September. Alan Hooper, a UNC Charlotte graduate, says he is eager to serve customers and distributors who use Intermac and other cutting-edge glass and stone machines by making their diamond tooling like new again through redressing.
Hooper earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from UNC Charlotte and brings six years of experience in operations management and plant leadership to his new role. His operational expertise will be invaluable as Diamut continues its expansion and growth in the North American market by adding manufacturing capabilities later in the Fall.
“I’m very excited to join Diamut America,” Alan said. “Bringing such services to the U.S. will allow us to better assist our customers in the North American market by reducing delivery times and making the process more cost effective for them. It will be easier for people to work with us than ever before.”
Diamond tool manufacturer Diamut became part of Biesse Group in 2002. Diamut America is located on the Biesse Group campus in the Charlotte NC Airport Corridor and plans continued growth in 2018 and beyond.
