DALLAS, TX -- Daltile, an industry-leading brand of tile products for residential and commercial applications, has been named the winner of the prestigious GreenStep Award in the Product category. This specific award recognizes "any flooring or flooring-related product that is manufactured sustainably or promotes sustainable living." The overall GreenStep environmental awards competition is run by Floor Covering Weekly magazine and is described by the host as a program that "recognizes, promotes and honors organizations and individuals in the flooring industry for their stewardship, initiatives and accomplishments in the area of sustainability."
“Daltile strives to create beautiful tile designs responsibly,” said Paij Thorn-Brooks, vice president of marketing, Dal-Tile LLC. “Under our Daltile ‘Our Promise’ sustainability platform, we are focused on creating a more Climate Positive present and future by being dedicated stewards of our global impact, leveraging our resources to shrink our footprint and reduce our waste. We keenly focus on this effort 365 days a year via a myriad of environmental sustainability efforts.”
The Daltile environmental sustainability efforts include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Correctly made tile, such as ours, also has the lowest carbon footprint of any installed flooring over the life of the product.
“We look forward to doing great things as we continue to grow our multi-faceted sustainability program,” concluded Thorn-Brooks. “Our overarching sustainability program is made up of a very impressive roster of tangible Environmental, Social, and Governance achievements and activities. Our commitment to having a positive impact on the world around us is one of the core pillars of our business.”
