Stone World, in partnership with the Natural Stone Institute, has resumed its in-person Stone Summits for 2021. The first one launched in Ohio in July followed by Pennsylvania in August.
Over the past two months, I have to say I have logged in more than my fair share of steps. Between TISE and Coverings, I definitely walked a lot and remembered what trade shows can do to your feet.
I recently returned from Las Vegas to attend TISE. I must admit, a few months ago when I made the decision to go I was excited but still a little apprehensive. But by the time I was in the airport, I suddenly enjoyed the feeling of being “normal” again. And once I entered the Mandalay Bay, it felt good to be back.
As we head into summer, I have to say that the future is looking brighter. Life is starting to feel more like it did pre-pandemic. I am excited that in a few weeks I will be traveling to Las Vegas for The International Surface Event (TISE).
The Natural Stone Institute, in partnership with Stone World, held one of its regularly scheduled virtual Stone Summits on April 14, 2021. The topic of quartzite proved to be a “hot” issue among fabricators, as it drew record-breaking numbers of attendees.
Recently, Stone World and the Natural Stone Institute held a virtual Stone Summit to discuss ways for fabricators to investigate products that are new to their process, including tooling equipment and digital software, as well as methods to develop focused questions that will help ensure the product or machine they review will perform as anticipated and provide the expected results
Technology continues to advance and play an important role in many of our daily lives. For fabricators in the stone business, each year there are more digital and automated products introduced to the marketplace, which can contribute to a shop’s overall efficiency and production.
What resources are available for quarriers who join the Natural Stone Institute? Here are a few key benefits that quarriers can look forward to when joining.
Having passed the half mark of 2020, I have taken some time for reflection. It certainly has been a game-changer so far. In January, I started the year off like any other.
