On Thursday, March 22, the Natural Stone Institute (NSI) and Stone World magazine held the second in a series of 10 stone industry education seminars tailored to the attendee and the topics most important to fabricators.
Over the years, there has been a great transformation in stone fabrication and many shops have evolved into a fully digital fabrication shop. There are steps that need to happen along the path to digital fabrication, and these steps are less daunting than one may think.
The Stone Industry Education seminar program for 2018, sponsored by Stone World magazine and the Natural Stone Institute, started this year’s series in Austin, TX, hosted by Arizona Tile.
Once again fabricators from different regions of North America with various-sized shops participated in a Fabricator Forum during The International Surface Event (TISE)
StoneExpo, which is part of The International Surface Event (TISE), provides an arena for fabricators from various regions of North America to gather together to share ideas and experiences, learn about new products on the market and to meet new people.

The Xiamen Stone Fair has been building momentum as a reputable international stone exhibition, and the 2018 edition is expected to be even bigger. Now in its 18th year, the next edition is slated for March 6 to 9, at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center.
Once again, Stone World polled fabricators from various-sized shops situated throughout the U.S. in its annual purchasing plan survey conducted by the Market Research Department at BNP Media (Stone World’s parent company).
The Stone Fabricator’s Alliance (SFA) holds several workshops annually, hosted by member companies. These workshops are free of charge to SFA members in good standing, and they are designed to provide a wealth of knowledge and learning opportunity for the industry.
