With a population of nearly 66,000, Eau Claire is the ninth largest city in the state of Wisconsin and it takes its name from the original French name, “Eaux Claires,” meaning “Clear Waters.” This is an appropriate reference, as it sits at the junction of the Chippewa and Eau Claire Rivers.

Originally built as Fort Saint Anthony in the 1820s, Fort Snelling is spread across 300 acres in St. Paul, MN, and is strategically situated at the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers. Today, the Minnesota Historical Society runs the fort, which is located atop a bluff along the Mississippi River.

Located on Tremont Street in the historic city of Boston, MA, the Highball Lounge at the Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel transitioned to the Better Sorts Social Club. The renovation is credited to Punch Architecture, Las Vegas-based design and architecture firm.

Based on the concept of affordable luxury for the people, the citizenM Bowery opened its U.S. flagship location, a 13th member of the hotel chain’s family, within the culturally rich and vibrant Bowery area of downtown Manhattan.

Located in San Antonio, TX, the Bexar County Public Works building was designed to mimic the natural environment, having its physical presence and placement along the river act as a metaphor of the varied landscape.
