Well, we made it through January, which especially here in the Northeast is usually a long and dreary month. Throw living in a pandemic on top of it, and it seemed even more daunting. But now spring is in sight, and on the work front, there has been a great deal of things going on that have kept me positive and engaged.
2020 was an unprecedented year. Last January, undoubtedly, no one would have predicted that the COVID-19 global pandemic would strike with such force and stop “normal” life for so many people.
Recently, Stone World and the Natural Stone Institute held a virtual Stone Summit to discuss ways for fabricators to investigate products that are new to their process, including tooling equipment and digital software, as well as methods to develop focused questions that will help ensure the product or machine they review will perform as anticipated and provide the expected results
Technology continues to advance and play an important role in many of our daily lives. For fabricators in the stone business, each year there are more digital and automated products introduced to the marketplace, which can contribute to a shop’s overall efficiency and production.
