The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has announced the next slate of its National Board of Directors. Appointed to amplify the ASID mission and advance the impact of the practice, the board is comprised of three officers (chair, chair-elect, past-chair), seven at-large directors, an industry partner representative, and ex officio.

The Board, created in 1973 to ensure access to federally funded facilities, expanded its mission to the regulation and implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) when the law passed in 1990.
This year's recipients include two former ASID national board members, a member who has served as a chair and educator, and a dedicated former chapter president.
The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) announced that Susan Wiggins, CAE, will serve as its new Senior Strategic Advisor this year. Wiggins is the current CEO of the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC).
Students will learn about the various career paths available with an interior design degree, as well as gain valuable insights on resumes, portfolios, networking and transitioning from student design to practice.
On behalf of ASID and its more than 26,000 members, ASID Chief Executive Officer Randy Fiser and ASID National Chair, Board of Directors, Sandy Gordon, accepted the Institution Award
