Since 1999, the Pantone Color Institute has annually named a Color of the Year, aiming to engage the design community and color enthusiasts worldwide in a dialogue about color's cultural significance. This year, Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz is the chosen hue, symbolizing nurturing and enrichment of mind, body and soul, selected through extensive global research encompassing various fields like entertainment, fashion and technology.

The term “Barbiecore” is used to describe the resurgence of the color pink. It is defined as “an aesthetic that embraces lively hues, lighthearted décor and an unapologetic confidence.”

From soft hints of light pink to more saturated hues of deep rose, this shade has stamped its mark on design this fall.

TILE recently caught up with Kait Paradowski, design director at Artaic, and Jill Cohen, vice president of design at Artistic Tile, to ask them to share their thoughts and experiences on the inspiration behind developing new color palettes and tile collections, as well as the current trends they are seeing.

Options for textures and surface finishes of tile are abundant, offering endless inspiration for new designs.
